Our father spent his summers in this home from the 1920s until 2009. We are three siblings in our 60’s who grew up summering in this cottage. Now our children and grandchildren enjoy it. It was built by our grandfather in the 1920’s, and our mother grew up two houses away, as well. This is a beautifully aging summer home. It is well lived-in. It is not fancy. But it loves an active family, and tolerates normal abuse well. The echoes of decades of joy linger..

Family Vacation.

“We've been married 49 years, taken our family on many beach trips, and this one is the most equipped, roomiest, charming place we have been to! There is something for everybody in that charming place. Our ages ranged from 15 to 73 and we could all have our space, or we could all be together, it is a wonderful size. Each time we said, "oh, I wish I would have brought.....", we found it there, ready and clean for us to use! You gotta try this place, we came home relaxed and wanting to go back!!

Yearly Family Time

The owners were very easy to work with and the listing descriptions were right on. Great location, clean, private and a fabulous beach that you could walk forever. What a great family home. We especially loved the large dinning room and table that allowed all 10 adults and two babies to share meals and time together. I would recommend this house to anyone. We hope to return and all requested a longer stay next time.

Long Family Weekend!

“ This home is a wonderful place to stay - we could not have asked for anything more. Staying with all six of our kids and our parents, this place had ample room for all of us. The location on the bluff above the lake was amazing - the steps to the beach were great - not to steep and very solid making it easy for all of us to go up and down. The house was clean, and everything worked well, not a problem at all. The management company was wonderful, answering any questions we had and being flexible with our hectic schedules. We will definitely be coming back!”Amy Rising said...

Great Place!

great house for families traveling together. the dorm on the second floor was a hit with our kids. the location on the bluff right above a perfect beach was awesome, and we played tennis daily at the private court at the end of the driveway. the decor was a bit dated, but all appliances were new, everything worked and was well kept. finally, the management company was very responsive to our requests. in short, you will have a great time at this property.

Summer Fun on Lake Michigan

“ We have been renting this property for the last five years and it is summertime at it's best. No matter how you want to spend your time, there is plenty to do. You're steps away from private beach access, our family spends time reading, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, beach walks and simply soaking up the sun. We also enjoy sunsets whether on the beach or sitting in the backyard, night swimming and bonfires on the beach. The house is a marvelous space for all ages with plenty of room for everyone, includes a guest house as well. We especially love the dining area because there's always enough room for everyone to share a meal together. We've used the backyard for outdoor movies, bean bag toss tournament and we also love the shared tennis court that includes pickle ball. There are several local shops to visit - AP shoplakeside, Sojourn, Whistlestop Cafe, Barnery's grocery store, local breweries, farmers market and the local pizza parlor. This has become an annual tradition to bring our families together and we simply look forward to it every year!
